2010

It is 12:23 in the morning and it is officially 2010. We stayed up late, playing our Wii and watching The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen. As of right now they are breaking into M's fortress and are about to be caught. Quite exciting.

Well, I suppose that since the New Year is upon us I should list some Resolutions:
  1. I don't really like how everybody, especially us Americans, always make it a goal to lose weight. So I won't put that as a resolution, just as a very high and important goal for me.:)
  2. As a family goal, I would like to go out and do much more things as a family. Like going hiking, I did that Yesterday, or in other words 40 minutes ago. I had so much fun, how come we never do that?
  3. And as a goal that I think that we all should share, just be a happier and joyful people through these odd times. Yes it will be hard at certain points, but I think that that might help everyone a tad bit.
So over Christmas we all received wonderful gifts, including a brand new 40" flat screen TV, surround sound with everything you could imagine, a nifty table for the TV to go on, and the Wii and WiiFit, along with many movies. It was a wonderful Christmas, especially because Harley and Jasmin were able to come home on the same day and Christmas with us. Well, it is rather late/early and I should head off to bed. We are having our fantastic scones later on this morning with lots of families, so I should get some rest. Happy New Year :)

Harley William Fleming

Sadie had been in the hospital because of her pregnancy. She had been leaking amniotic fluid and so she had been staying there until she would deliver. Well that moment came on Thursday October 1, 2009. Sadie had felt huge gushes of blood and contacted the nurses about it. These gushes kept coming, and so the nurse called the doctor. Turn's out that the placenta, what the baby is inside of in the uterus, was completely detached from the uterus wall. The doctor said that they were going to take it and do a sea section. Eighteen minutes later, Harley William Fleming was born, 2 lbs 3oz 13.5" long. His head going around was 9". He is now doing very well and is progressing very fast.

When he was born his eyes were still fused shut, but yesterday he opened his eyes and saw everything with his blue, blue eyes. Both Sadie and Glenn have the light blue eyes. Of course Harley got the gene and now has them. Sadie-Belle has a webpage about him that has lots of pictures at carepages.com. She calls it Superman Jr. She calls Glenn superman, and Harley looks a lot like Glenn, so she calls Harley Superman Jr.

And so,the conclusion of this summer is almost here and many things have happened in it's presence.

School ended in June, welcoming the Summer vacation. I then went to my first Girls Camp at John Knox Ranch. I only got to sleep in my cabin once, the other two nights we slept on the floor in the dining hall due to rain. Nonetheless I had a good time. A week later I went to a Strengthening & Conditioning Camp to make me buff and strong. During that same month we found out that Sadie was pregnant. Also, our pool turned green and we were not able to swim in it for some time.Very sad occasion.

In July, we decided to drain the pool, clean it, then fill it back up again. And so we did. Only to realize that the pump was broken and we weren't able to fix it. So we swam in it every day so that the pool wasn't unstirred for too long. But,without the pump and with the heat, the pool turned green yet again. And so now we have only a few inches of very green water in our backyard.

But on a lighter note, I went to a Science Camp for 2 weeks. Loads of fun. My most memorable thing: the brain. On the 3rd day of Science Camp,we were given the high privilege of disecting a brain. So, before we start, the teacher walks over to a bucket and pulls out a nice big juicy human brain. He sets it on a tray and walks around the room with it to show every body. Then he walks over to the chalkboard to write something down and sets the brain on the table, the table that I happen to be sitting at. And so, naturally, I stare at the brain disgusted, and wishing that it will be removed from my sight as soon as possible. But, instead, the teacher finished writing on the board and left to talk to the rest of class. And so I am left with this brain set right in front of me, to look at for 3 hours.Joy. But besides that the rest of my experiences were very nice.

Then we found out that Maria was pregnant also. Very exciting. So we now have two babies on the way, one in January and one in March. And Sadie-Belle had her birthday on the 22nd and she is now 19.

This month, August, not too much has happened. Jazzy flew out to Utah to see her friends weddings and stayed with Elizabeth and her family. She recently came home and now our house is loud and happy again. Next week Maria should be coming down and staying for almost a week which should be lots of fun. And Elizabeth is still deciding if they want to come down or not. Then on the 22nd is Mother's birthday and on the 24th school starts up again! Crazy how fast this summer has gone by. And now comes not only the conclusion of Summer, but also this post.
See ya!

Summer Time!

Well I guess that you could definitely say that many a thing has happened. In April we went up to Utah for about a week, something like that, and we saw Maria and Steve's Graduation. But I'm skipping ahead of myself. First things first, we left our warm Texas home and hopped in the car for a ride that would last us about two days up to Utah. On the way there we stayed in a motel, woke up and hit the road again.

We then eventually got to our destination and said a quick hello to Maria & Steve, picked up Sadie and ALL of her stuff. We were supposed to go to Aunt Sue's place and eat dinner there, but we felt that we were going to be too late and we didn't want to keep them waiting, so we didn't see them that night.

The next day we had a picnic at the park where everyone including Mom, Dad, Elizabeth, Eli, Ariana, Alexander, Maria, Steve, Sadie, Aunt Pamela, Gideon, me, and Grandmother got together. So that was really fun. Then that night Gid and I went to the Despains and spent the night there.

That of course was really fun. Then the that day, we went to go and repay Aunt Sue a visit, then I believe we went out to eat with Steve's family and Nephi and Kirsten and everyone else in our family except Elizabeth and Eli and Jazzy.

Then I think that the next day was the graduation, where we went out to breakfast after wards, and then we hit the road and took Sadie back home with us!

So that was for our trip. Then the next month in May, Jazzy drove up here with her friend Jenny and they stayed for a couple of days. Which were two hilarious days may I point out, and then Jazzy drove up to Utah to Jenny's drop off station, and then Jazzy flew back home to hers.
Now we have a full house of six at home instead of our small quiet four for the entire summer. So Jazzy and Sadie have been looking for jobs like crazy and Jazzy recently landed herself two jobs. But that isn't the only thing that has been recently landed, we got ourselves a new pool to put in our backyard for only $100, and it's a really nice pool. From the center out it is 18 feet wide and 4 feet deep. We got it for a really good deal, because normally a pool this size from this company is a lot more expensive by about $300.
The reason it was so cheap was we had to go and take it down, take it home, and clean it. We were probably in the worst possible situation ever while we were taking it down. We were carrying metal poles, under trees, in a thunderstorm, while lightning is going everywhere. So that was an interesting experience. But work and money and time all well spent,we now have a wonderful pool.
Another wonderful thing that has happened, SCHOOL'S OUT!!!!!!!!!!WOOOOO-WHOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!! Just had to make my point across. Something that is going to happen is girls camp, and I will be going for my first year. Jazzy and Sadie are going to help me pack for it and are scratching everything off of the list that is not necessary. So in other words, nearly everything is crossed off. :) I'd say that it's about time that I start wrapping up the Johnson Family Blog Entry of June 7, 2009. So, Laterz!

Spring Break

Well, it is finally here. Spring Break!Yeah!! Over the week we are going to do many a things. Monday-Thursday we are going to be cleaning in the day and having sleepovers at night. Then on the night of Thursday, Jared and Amie Despain are going to come down for the rest of the weekend. They came down a few weeks ago when the rodeo was here, and they loved San Antonio. Jared hates Odessa, and so ever since they have been looking online for houses down here to move to. So now they're coming back to make sure that they really like it. And we are going to take them to church and look at houses with them and show them the ward boundries and everything. So it should and will be a fun week. And then just a small detail, Gideon turns 15 the day before St. Patrycks Day on the 16th and he is starting to learn how to drive. That part isn't a small detail but the birthday, that's small. So that's about it.Laterz. Oh wait, that's not it. On Sunday the whole family gave talks at church and I gave my very first one. It was alright I guess. But there wasn't a whole lot of people there because they forgot to change their clocks, and then it was really hot in the chapel, and the sound system wasn't working so we had to use this other thing. So it was interesting. Now, laterz.
